MD Ski Weekend!


Do you have plans for Super Bowl XLIX (50) yet?  This year the Super Bowl is being held at the home of the San Francisco 49ers; the beautiful Levis Stadium in Santa Clara, CA.  If you are anything like me you have no real interest in traveling across the country for the Super Bowl.  Most of us end up going to some last minute Super Bowl cook out at the friend of a friend's house.  The food will be edible at best, your favorite team probably isn't even playing in the game and the only reason you went is because there will of course be free alcohol lol!

Let's change from that same old yearly routine and make some memories.  My good friend and frat brother (K...A...Psi til the day I die) Gary Carter has asked me to partner with him to promote the M.D. Ski Express weekend getaway!  M.D. Ski Express was founded in the fall of 1983 with the premise to introduce African Americans professionals to the sport of snow skiing.  They have been organizing very successful ski trips for a long time.   

The M.D. Ski Express weekend getaway will be held Super Bowl weekend (February 5 - 8 2016) at the Hope Lake Lodge & Indoor Water Park in Cortland, NY.  The price per person is $489 which includes 3 nights lodging, bus coach transportation from Philadelphia, PA, buffet (breakfast & dinner), and of course nightly entertainment.

We are using Philadelphia, PA as the departure hub.  Currently Southwest airlines has round trip flights from Atlanta (ATL) to Philadelphia (PHL) for $138 (not included in package).  The bus will leave from Philadelphia at 1:00 pm.  Go ahead and mark your calendars to be at the Hope Lake Lodge with me and a lot of friends on February 5th!  More detailed information will be sent.

F*** A Mentor

First off, let me apologize if my cursing offends.  There are times when a vulgar word is needed to emphasize the point of a statement and "Forget a Mentor" just did not have the same ring lol.  I recorded this video, F*** a Mentor, because I see so many entrepreneurs that are stuck in their business then have the thoughts that a mentor is going to sprinkle some magic dust and everything will skyrocket.  I wasted a lot of time over the years waiting on a mentor, searching for a mentor, and claiming mentors.  Trust me when I say I  know the value of TRUE mentoring.  Everyone is not qualified nor equipped to be your mentor.  Put in the work and your real mentor will find you.        "Mentoring is who you are as much as what you do."
